Do you feel in need of a respite – a brief time of peace and quiet in a busy week? The Church is open for YOU every Friday from 1-2pm.

PRAYER FOCUS FOR ADVENT

Advent is a time of expectation when Christians everywhere are preparing to welcome the Christ Child, the Messiah, once more into their hearts and lives.

Let us pray in these weeks of Advent that we will be prepared to welcome Him into the busyness of our lives and into our homes and situations. Let us pray that the modern commercial exploitation of this season of preparation for Christmas will not prevent our hearts from being stirred as we anticipate and welcome the baby born in a stable. Let us pray that through his vulnerability, our vulnerability can be exchanged for God’s grace and enduring love.

Card for Karibuni Would you like to reduce the number of cards you send this Christmas and help a good cause? If so, a large card is now available for you to sign and add a message to everyone at Cannon Lane Methodist Church.  In return, please add a donation into the Christmas box. Proceeds will then be sent to the Karibuni Trust.

Thank You

£186 19 was collected for St Luke’s Hospice at yesterday’s coffee morning.  There will be an opportunity over coffee this morning to purchase additional goods.
