TRAIDCRAFT- Amanda Taylor will be holding an "At home" (55 Cannonbury Avenue)on Thursday 9th November 2-10pm where you can see and buy Christmas cards and gifts from Traidcraft as well as the usual food supplies. Please come and bring a friend to spread the news about fairly traded goods. I have a catalogue if you are interested but are unable to come on the day. Talent Show and 3 course meal Saturday 2nd December 7.00pm Please note that there are now only 3 weekends before Saturday 2nd December. So far we have had a few people say they are interested in participating. We need those people to make a commitment and we also need more acts. We also need to have an audience. If you are interested in performing please let Emma or Lizzy have the details of your act Judy and Marlene need to know numbers for the catering arrangements. If you are hoping to attend the evening, whether as a performer or as a member of the audience, please can you speak to either Judy or Marlene as soon as possible. They have their own Christmas Party for their Junior Club on 14th December and are replying on Christmas Children’s Gifts to hand out at their Party. Ranu and Archie from the Charity, together with several of their youngsters will be sharing the service with us when we will be able to make a presentation of our gifts to them. It will be great if you can help us support Community Link-up by bringing new Toys for their children to our Gift and Toy service on 3rd December. Admission is free, but any donations received will be given to NCH. Refreshments will be available, with light lunches served on Saturday. Notices for the week commencing Sunday 17th December 2006 Loving heavenly Father, many older people in our society today have not yet heard the good news of our Saviour. May we be the agents through whom older people can be helped to grow in faith, to receive the living Lord Jesus Christ into their hearts for peace of mind and hope for the future. May our older friends of this community who are advanced in years, greet the new-born Saviour with joy. Notices for the week commencing Sunday 24th December 2006 Dear Lord, thank you for coming into the world to change it for the better. Thank you that you are willing to come into our lives to change them, and give us the strength to help change other people’s lives through our contact with them. Thank you for the way you are working through us and the people of Pinner. And for the blessings and changes we have received and seen. Lord, as we remember your gift of Christ to us, help is to remember those less fortunate than ourselves, and may not experience the love of family or the true joy which is at the heart of the Christmas story. Help us living and working with people of all backgrounds, to be able to show something of this love and joy to those in need, and may they experience something of you in their Christmas and the days to come.
